Concert at Sainte Chapelle?

Hi
We were wondering about attending a concert at Sainte Chapelle in late June/Early July. We saw it in the day a few years ago. I’m sure it’s a gorgeous venue for a concert.

I read to buy tickets from https://www.classictic.com/en/special/concerts-in-la-sainte-chapelle/216/?fin=c8&sorting=date_asc

They don’t have anything for our dates. This site does.
https://www.theatreinparis.com/en/show/sainte-chapelle-concert-series

Both legit places to buy tickets?

Any suggestions for a decent, mid priced, restaurant in the Sainte Chapelle area that we could go to before?

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

Thanks
Garth

I've bought tickets through Classictic for Sainte-Chapelle. Beautiful atmosphere, but the performance itself was not of a particularly high standard.

Hi
Thanks for the advice.
The restaurant looks great.

I didn’t know they did concerts at Notre-Dame. That would be amazing. I don’t see anything for our dates though.

To my wife and I classical music is nice but we aren’t aficionados. Gazing at Sainte Chapel for an hour we wouldn’t care if it’s Billy is playing his trombone.

Has anyone purchased through theatre in Paris?

My daughter and I are interested in an 8:00 pm concert at Sainte Chapelle at a time of year when the sun sets at 5:30. Are the windows illuminated from the outside-in to showcase the beautiful stained glass during a concert?

No, unfortunately not.

A timely topic. I'm just about to buy concert tickets for early April. We saw the chapel on our first RS tour in 2015 and attending a concert has been at the top of our to-do list this time. I'll probably get the concert tickets that include champagne across the street, at Les Deux Palais, just because it's our last night in Paris. Any other suggestions for dinner beforehand?

It is a beautiful venue, but i agree on the mediocrity of the "performance." It is really more of theatrics than anything. Don't get me wrong, I am sure the individual musicians are talented, but there was just too much goofy stuff going on (one player stealing the music stand from another player, dramatic entrances, etc.) that the performance itself was a let down if you wanted to see a serious concert. I suspect most people weren't there for that though. There was an obvious misunderstanding of standard repertoire when I went too (Vivaldi's Four Seasons, always a tourist favorite). People applauding between movements, applauding the theatrics, etc. Sorry to be such a Debbie-downer, but just calling it as I saw it. Again, beautiful place, I just wish they would put on a real concert there and not just a tourist show. YMMV.

My experience was nothing like that at the Vivaldi concert. No theatrics, etc. VERY talented musicians, and quite professional. That was two years ago. I’ll be curious to see if my next experience is different.
