Concerns about traveling to France without QR code

My wife and I are due to fly into Paris on September 28. We are immediately going to Rouen by train. We are concerned about train travel without having yet received the “pass sanitaire”. We will be going to 5 cities during our 27 day stay in france.
We applied on the new application site back on September 3.
Has anyone had experience traveling by train without French QR code.? Is US CDC card accepted? Thank you!

I'm going to France with a group of 4 friends next week. We all applied on September 3rd for the QR code. One of us received the QR code within 4 minutes of applying on September 3rd. The rest of us have been waiting since then, so go figure. I personally would expect that you will have a QR code by September 28th.

I had the same question about intercity trains and I asked the SNCF account on twitter via direct message. They referred me to this website which clearly says in no uncertain terms the CDC card is sufficient as proof of vaccination in France:

"Passes can be digital (on the TousAntiCovid app) or in paper form (proof of vaccination or test result)."

There are a few postings from travelers who have been utilizing the trains within France and only having their CDC cards, which were accepted. One couple, her husband got his Pass Sanitaire but she did not. They accepted her CDC card and compared the name against her passport and all was well.

This is the language from the French government site:
"Passes can be digital (on the TousAntiCovid app) or in paper form (proof of vaccination or test result). They include a QR code that will be scanned on entry into the venue or event."
The CDC vaccination card does not include any QR code.

We applied Sept 2, and as of Sept 18, still "in construction" after 16 days. They claimed to process these things within 11 days when we started. (We also applied to the previous system in August, but never got any response at all.)

Some US states provide QR codes. We got California QR codes, but they are not readable by the French Covid app.

I made multiple copies of the CDC cards and QR codes, and then laminated them, and distributed them among our luggage, and have digital versions of everything on our phones.

My wife and I both got our QR codes for France for our mid October trip. Since we have the codes. Do we still need to carry our passports and CDC cards with as well? Or will the health pass be enough?

Edryer- technically they are supposed to check your health pass against an i.d. to make sure that the person presenting the health pass is the right person !

So I think indeed you are supposed to have your passport.

However, I will say that not a single restaurant yet has checked my I.d. against my health pass. So 🤷🏼‍♀️

Of course maybe the museums are following the rules better. I am going to the Marmottan on Friday and will see what they do.

Just returned this week from France. We did not travel by train but during our two weeks we only used our passport and the CDC card. We were not turned away from any business, restaurant, museum etc. No firsthand exp[erience, but I hear that train travel is no different.
