Hi there! We had hoped to take the fast train from Bayeux to Avignon, however we were just notified that on the day of our desired departure, the train will not be running until the afternoon. We will have two days prior to picking up our daughter in Cannes. Do you recommend driving directly to Avignon on the first day (rental car)? We could plan an alternative route that would allow a repose somewhere in between Bayeux and Avignon for the first night. I believe that driving from Avignon to Cannes on day two, would not be too difficult. We are then headed to Roquefort des Pins for two days.
Please advise.
