Merci Alex, sorry if that sounded stuffy (the Mercedes part) these were copied from notes to myself (to make certain that is what I get since that is the car I requested and to not forget as I usually don't have a set model, also Mercedes B class are not available for sale in the USA and I always like them when I see one in Europe, though an electric version is coming to the USA soon).
I mostly would like to photograph the Pont du Gard as we plan to go late in the day for the nice late afternoon light and perhaps visit Nimes before we go. Thank you for your advice. (I changed MB to car for the post, thanks for pointing it out.)

I requested automatic, I used to drive a stick in the 90's and still can, but I drive an automatic everyday now so I think I'll stick with that.

Lisa... you will love the hotel in St. Remy. I don't know if he still has it, but Antoine (the owner) used to have a beautiful full working darkroom on premises. Some friends and I (professional photographers) have had two incredible workshops while staying at this hotel. We did bromoils as one of our projects.
Be sure to talk a walk in the early morning to the hospital where VanGogh was. Be sure to wander around the streets late in the evening. There is also a restaurant just down the way from the hotel (can't remember the name, but someone at the hotel will know) where they have the most wonderful hamburger! It was huge and very expensive (big enough to share) but it was a welcome change and really the best burger I've ever had....check out the restroom there too:))
Any place you visit from there is going to be fabulous. Have a great time.
Are you sure the sunflowers and lavender are in bloom at the same time? I thought it was one of the other... but maybe we only saw the lavender in the summer.

I have been doing lots of research and my tour director has checked it all out as well in advance and was there last summer. The lavender blooms in different areas at different times from late June through late July. I have seen sunflower fields in Provence during The Tour de France which is always within that time period. I'm certain we will find more lavender than sunflowers but I'm pretty sure we will see both.

Hamburger in St. Remy funny, but I'll consider it.

Following in some of Van Gogh's footsteps is a big one for me so we hope to do that in Arles and monastery of St Paul de Mausole while in St. Remy.

Lots of time is allocated to markets when there's so much to see (and photograph) in the area. I suggest a drive through the Camargue (flamingoes, white horses, bulls, interesting church at Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer) and a visit to Aigues-Mortes. Suzette has fine views of the Dentelles. Picturesque vineyards grow out of rocky ground around Chateauneuf du Pape. The vineyard below Bonnieux was the setting for the Russell Crowe film "A Good Year."

Thanks for the suggestions. We just will spend just an hour or two at most markets early AM. We plan to do a wine drive while we are staying in Gigondas visiting Suzette, Sault, Sablet, Seguret and other nearby towns and villages. I think I may be doing a day trip to the Camargue during the following week photo tour. Being that it will be quite warm during July our plan is to go out each morning then return to our hotel midday to rest and or swim then go out again late afternoon. We are not late night people and when traveling I often get up at 4 or 5 to do photography and catch the best light.

Sounds like you have it covered. If Cassis isn't on the tour it's a short drive from Aix. Parking is an issue there, however. Michelin Green Guide to Provence is great if you don't have it yet.

Thanks, I'll consider Cassis if we feel like heading somewhere after Aix. I have The Green Guide as well as Michelin Maps and Michelin app on my iPhone and iPad too.
