Combined Ticket for Eiffel Tower NEVER available.

UPDATE: It has come to my attention via Reddit, that these tickets really must be bought in person and used immediately. Perhaps some are truly for sale but there is a consensus that the tour agencies buy them up before any individual has a chance to. Either that or they really don't sell them. I kind of feel it is the latter lol. I will keep my eyes on it and if I can't buy online I will take my chances to buy them in person. I really want the stairs + elevator vs all elevator experience. If anyone has any other ideas, let me know!

ORIGINAL:
These combined tickets (walk to (stairs to 2nd floor + elevator to summit) are never available. No matter when I check, even logging in at midnight Paris time, they are sold out for the last available day. There seems to be a problem. I have contacted them but does anyone here have any helpful advice? We would like to walk up to the 2nd floor so we can see the structure up close but also ride the elevator to the summit. We are not going to be there until December so I do have time but I'm concerned about this lack of ability to purchase no matter the time of day or the fact that I'm choosing the last available day (tickets become available 60 days before date). Help?

This ET web page says you can only by that type of ticket 14 days in advance online in "low season" or in person day of - see the section labeled "types of standard tickets" https://www.toureiffel.paris/en/news/visit/all-our-tips-buying-ticket-visit-eiffel-tower

Depending on your travel dates, maybe December would be in "low season" so you might check 14 days ahead of your visit. But I think another option might be to buy a ticket for the elevator to the top, then walk down from the second floor when you get off the elevator coming back down from the top, instead of taking the second elevator all the way down to ground floor. You'd probably want to verify you can do this however, that's just a wild guess on my part.

I would get off at the 2nd floor on your way down and explore both the 2nd and 1st levels. If you are there when it is dark, you can see the lights twinkle from the inside (which is very cool). We walked down from the 1st floor.
