Colmar Taxi

We are heading to Colmar tomorrow and need a taxi service to take us from our apartment in city center to the train station next Sunday. I've gotten one "sorry we are booked" and 3 non responses. I've used What's App which they've all had or email. I get the feeling nobody wants to do a short run on a Sunday morning. I've even name dropped that our host recommended you to the one taxi services she recommend...nothing! Has anyone ever used Uber which I heard is iffy or walked? It's only 15-20 minutes to walk but we'll have a bit of luggage and I'm not excited about dragging it through the city and it's going to be very hot. We may even need to cough up extra money and move to a hotel with AC though our apartment is non refundable.

I'm hoping to get a taxi at the train station when we arrive and ask if they'll pick us up, but wondering about other experiences. There's no shuttle bus or anything like that available. Any other suggestions welcome.

I would add the Uber and/or Bolt apps and see if they show any possibilities in Colmar (do a dummy booking).

Kim, Yes, I have the apps, but I've heard even when you order an uber they are highly unreliable even when it shows availability. When I try to put in Colmar, it doesn't even let me. Strasbourg yes, but not Colmar, which it telling. So that's what I"m wondering. A Sunday morning probably isn't helpful. I assume the G7 app is strictly for Paris? Now that's a fantastic, reliable situation!

When I visited Colmar a few years ago, I arrived at the train station hoping to get a taxi. My hotel was about a 12 minute walk from the station but I didn't want to lug my bags.

I couldn't get any taxi to take me. And I asked a lot. It was too short of a distance for them.

Frank II, I think your experience tracks. I'm hoping something pans out, but if we have to walk, we walk.

Where are you staying?

The apartment I booked in 2022 was about a 20 minute walk. I was lazy on the return and walked about 5 minutes to catch the bus to the station. I paid the driver in cash.
