Fiancee and I are honeymooning in Provence in October of this year. We have an apartment in Apt booked for most of the trip, but have one night at the beginning and two nights at the end to fill. We'll have a car for the entire trip--booking with Sixt at Marseille airport. Looking for any advice on the plan below for our extra nights:
--Spend a night in Marseille, probably in one of the nicer Vieux Port hotels (any recommendations welcome!)
--Spend a couple of nights in one of the smaller coastal towns Southeast of Marseille--Cassis or La Ciutat or Bandol...our main prerogative for the honeymoon is to luxuriate in the Southern France lifestyle--good food, restful days, markets, and cute towns to wander around and get lost in.
Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
