Cluny Museum

I've just purchased online tickets from FNAC for visiting the museum. After I paid and received a confirmation receipt, I realized that there was no date indicated on the confirmation, just a confirmation number and the note that the tickets are good until the end of the year. Now I'm wondering how this will work since on another website, one had the option of choosing a date and entry time to visit the Cluny. Since I preferred having an open ticket, I thought the FNAC site was the better option. Has anyone had an experience ordering tickets from FNAC for the Cluny? If so, were you able to use the tickets on the day of your choice?

I just looked at the museum's website in French. It's the same - no timed entries. The Cluny doesn't have long lines of people waiting to get in. I'm sure you just turn up when you want, show your tickets and walk in (though you may want to pick up an audio guide first). By the way, the site says due to the influx of school groups on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, it's better to visit on those days between noon and 2 pm or after 3.30 pm.

You should also avoid going on the first Sunday of the month, when there's free admission for everyone and this museum is very crowded.
Did the FNAC site state that you must pick up the tickets in person at one of their outlets? If so, this might be a pain to do.
If the other website costs the same amount and allows you to print an e-ticket - instead of a confirmation - and if you can cancel the FNAC ticket with no penalty, you might choose to do that.
But if you avoid the days mentioned, you can walk right into this museum with no problem and buy your ticket there.
If you enjoy Medieval concerts, check the official Cluny website - there's an extra fee for this (11 EU, I believe), but it's quite enjoyable.
