Clothes for Paris in April

Traveling to Paris 4/13-4/18 - any recommendations for what to pack for both men and women?

Yes, well for a woman but the guy will get the idea, lol. I’ll be there at the same time. Looking back at my notes from April 2019 and 2017 here’s my plan:

3 SS Tee shirts (depending on last minute weather) (Probably cobalt, Aqua, white or black)
2 LS Tee shirts. (Pink and black)
1 or 2 LS Drifit quarter zip shirts. (Black and Gray)
2 pr jeans ( dark navy and black)
1 pr travel pants (black)
Waterproof outer layer with hood
Puffy vest - maybe, depends on last minute weather forecast
1 pr waterproof Altra Lone Peak athletic shoes
1 pr non-waterproof Altras
PJ, unders, socks, bras
2 scarves

This includes my clothes I’ll wear in transit.

I like the idea of capsule wardrobes so all tops go with all pants go with all completer pieces. I don’t go to fancy restaurants so no need for anything dressy. I’m going to Paris on my own then will go to Belgium and Netherlands for a tour. I’ll be gone for a month and will do sink wash the whole time.

This is a wonderful time to visit!

Super comfy shoes. Layers (t shirts, long sleeve shirts, sweater), waterproof jacket. Dark pants. A few scarves (or buy there) to break up the outfit for pictures. You’ll probably be in the same jacket and dark pants for every picture, so the scarf will be the only thing different.

Layer, layer, layer. We were in Paris in May and there were warm and chilly days. I like interchangeable pants and shirts with a basic jacket or overshirt to tie it together. A shirt with a jacket and a waterproof shell can be very warm. I buy scarves everywhere I go. They jazz up any outfit, make you look chic, pack tightly and are wonderful reminders of the trip. The museums in Paris have some beautiful ones inspired by artwork. I'm fond of the occasional piece of cheap street jewelry for the same reason. Also, I like to wear something when I sleep which could mean packing an extra article. Now, on the first day, when I'm walking through jetlag, I pop into a tourist shop and buy a cheap, oversized destination t-shirt. I'll sleep it in all trip and have another souvenir when I get home.
