We will be flying from London to Bordeaux on a Thursday in late September, arriving at 7:00 p.m./19:00. Can anyone advise me about how long it might take to clear immigration? We are checking bags. I need to reserve a car and trying to time when it should be picked up. Thanks.
I think the question whether you will clear immigration in London so that you just walk off the plane. I think you call the airport in London or your carrier.
I’m flying on Easyjet. I didn’t see anything on their website after doing a search. I thought someone might know, as I would like to avoid an international phone call.
Some rental companies ask for your flight info, presumably to know whether you'll be delayed. Maybe you can contact them and ask what their policy is.
Estimating the time variable for clearing the controls in Bordeaux is useless given that your plane may be delayed much longer than this variable.
The most important thing is that the car rental company knows your flight number.
You will not do anything with immigration in London. When you arrive in Bordeaux, you will go through immigration and customs.
While no one can tell you exactly how long it will take, put your flight information into your car rental reservation and if you are running late, they will see it with the flight information.
It's only on Eurostar that you go through Schengen immigration in London.
Thanks for confirming my thought that we will go through immigration in Bordeaux. I plan to reserve my car in the next few days going through AutoEurope. Hopefully there will be the ability to enter flight information.
