City Wonders small group tour of the Louvre

I’m going to Paris in April for the first time and I’d like to take a small group tour of the Louvre before looking through the rest of the museum. This is the tour I’m considering:

Looking for feedback from anyone who’s done this tour. There are 2 tours per day: 10:45am and 1:30pm. I’m planning to go on a Friday since the museum is open til 9:00pm that day, so I was thinking of doing the 1:30 time slot. Any advice on which would be the better time to book? Merci!

The Louvre museum has daily tours in English called Welcome to the Louvre. These are given by Louvre employees, certified guides. See the website. Entrance and the 90 minute tour costs 32€.

The only difference is you enter by the Pyramid or Carousel while City Wonders enters by the Richelieu, which can get long and backed up, too. This skip the line is a myth. Everybody goes through security.

Thanks, yes I’m aware of the tour the Louvre offers. However, I am interested in the smaller group tour (12 max) offered by City Wonders. I’m assuming the Louvre’s tour would have more people, although I couldn’t find that specific info on their site.
