Cieldeparis Reservation- any experience?

Hello All,

I made a dinner reservation for Cieldeparis on their website and a day later I got an email with a form to fill out to confirm the reservation along with a credit card number.

Has anyone done this before? I am hesitant to give my credit card number to them because I have no experience with them before but perhaps this is just the way they do things?

Any help would be appreciate, thanks in advance!

I have seen other fancy restaurants request a credit card and charge a no-show fee, particularly those where it's often necessary to book months ahead. If they also have one set menu price, they might charge that whole rate for no-shows. Ciel de Paris claims to have some terms and conditions in their booking engine, but the details would not open for me.
