I’m taking my granddaughter to France for Christmas & New Years. Strasbourg Dec 20-26 & Paris 26-3rd.
My trip is all planned spent 2 1/2 months ironing out details now t he e hard part … the flights.
I’m tossing around r/.t to Paris & the train to & from Strasbourg. Probably a side trip to Colmar for a day & the train Christmas Day to Switzerland.
Would I save or not flying to Strasbourg then a train to Paris then home to Los Angeles. Multi City flight or not? any advice is welcome.

There is a train to Strasbourg from CDG that takes about 2 hours. Colmar is about 30 min. from there by frequent trains. I wouldn't bother flying to Strasbourg. As far as getting to Switzerland, it depends on where in Switzerland you are headed. For my part, I would get multi-city flights to save a day wasted in transit back to Paris.
