When will Christmas lights/markets/decor show up in Paris? I've never been in my favorite city near the holidays and do hope I can see some Christmas lights/etc. by mid- to late November. If you know of any holiday atmosphere that I can enjoy, please let me know where and when this will appear. Thanks!

You might be able to find online when some seasonal carousels or ice rinks open, but I'd bet on December 1 or later. When I was in Paris in December once previously, some stores were only putting up their store-front decorations around Dec. 15.

by the last week of November the department stores, the Champs Elysees, the Christmas market on the Champs and the Grande Roule are all up and running. Things start being available from the middle of November on. I am not sure when the ice rinks on the Eiffel Tower and Hotel de Ville are open.
