My son and his girlfriend moved to Tours, France and we thought it would be great to give them some sort of gift certificates for the region having a hard time finding something

I saw a package on Tickets Chateaux.com which is part of Cheverny Voyages that offers gift certificates.
How do I know if it's reputable??

At present, with many companies struggling, the last thing I would do at present is to get gift vouchers for any company, no matter how reputable, as they maybe worthless by 1 January if the company goes bust.
Sending them cash or a gift would be safer.

There's a contributor here who lives near Tours and may have some ideas. He has a blog on Blogspot called Days on the Claise where you could ask questions, if he doesn't see your question here.
My family in the States received subscriptions to magazines and reviews. I agree with Jennifer's point.
