Choice between two Nice hotels/neighborhoods: Hotel Oasis and Hotel Nap

Hi all,
We're somewhat late planning my daughter's college graduation trip to Nice, so found ourselves rather limited in terms of finding a reasonably priced hotel to stay in. We've narrowed it down to Hotel Oasis, which I think is in the Quartier Musiciens, and the
Hôtel Nap by HappyCulture, which I think is in Nice Center. Does anyone have experience with either of these hotels, or have thoughts about the neighborhoods? Both get good reviews on the various hotel listing sites. If it matters, we'll be there at the end of May, missing the holidays and the Monaco Grand Prix, and my husband and I will be with our 21 and 19 year old daughters.
.... this is all assuming that the airlines don't run out of fuel and cancel our flights, of course!
Thanks!

No experience with either hotel, but both look convenient. I would be worried about noise at the Nap. The other looks like it's in more of a residential neighborhood, which I generally prefer.

I looked at them on google maps. They are not far from each other. Nap is right off the main road from the train station to the sea. Expect the area to be very lively all the time. Oasis is closer to the train station, a plus if you are planning day trips along the Riviera. It's usually a much quieter area with narrow streets and few pedestrians - and some quite good small restaurants. Nice is so walkable I think either choice is good for enjoying Nice.

The Hotel Nap is in a slightly better position for getting around Nice as it is near the confluence of the two main tram lines. There is quite a bit of pedestrian traffic on Jean Medecin (and one block north, next to the mall) but you are a full building off of it, and Rue Pastorelli starts to be pretty residential as you head northeast while maintaining cafes, restaurants, boulangeries etc (esp just to the southeast and northeast). I assume your daughters may want to venture off on their own, and that main street runs directly to the Old Town and is well lighted and trafficked at night.

Hotel Oasis is much closer to the train station, but not too close. it is set back from the street with its own courtyard, and |'ve heard some people used to like the restaurant, but I have not been. The immediate street is quiet and the services directly nearby are more limited (and more commercial). However, there are some decent restaurants/shops/boulangeries around the next block at Place Mozart and the more directly south (of Blvd Victor Hugo, particularly on Rue Grimaldi, Longchamp, Dal Pozzo and Meyerbeer). The only area to avoid is the area directly around Rue Angleterre and Rue Italie/Belgique (it is pretty far away, it is the only place in the central city where people like to avoid at night).
