Bonjour. I will be traveling to Versailles with my child who is 8 years old. I understand a child's entrance to see Versailles Chateau is Free. I will be purchasing the Paris Museum Pass for myself. I understand I need to reserve 2x entrance times for my child and I to visit the chateau. Will my child be required to stand in the ticket line to gather the free ticket once we arrive at the Chateau? Or can we both bypass the ticket line and go directly to security line together? Merci
I thought you meant "child-free" and I got excited.
But to answer your question they can entre with you.
Whatever line you need for your museum pass entry is probably where you both will need to go. But, then again........?
you get all the reservations on line and just download them to your phone -- yours and the kids.
Your free ticket for Versailles and the Louvre (and perhaps other sites) is electronic. You can print it out but you don't need to.
your on line tickets will be 'free tickets' that go with museum pass which you will show when you enter -- and you can show the kids' free tickets then
FWIW. a child of 8 can travel half price on the metro as well.
Thank you all of your help and guidance.
