We arrive at the airport at 3.00pm but our plane leaves at 10.00pm. How long before departure can we check in then go to the Emirates lounge.

Do you need to check luggage? I never check anything but my experience is ticket windows open three hours before a flight. If you can curb check your bags (again don't know if that's a possibility?) and have boarding passes (either pre printed or from a kiosk) you may be able to get to the lounge right away.
