Cheapest way to travel on Paris Metro

What is the best/ cheapest pass to use on Paris Metro for 4 days, including several stops and trip to De Gaulle Airport. I found lots of different choices. Can tourists purchase the weekly Navigo pass? Or is that just for residents?

The weekly pass which anyone can buy and put on their phone or on a Navigo Decouverte (Navigos are for residents NDs and Navigo Easys are for anyone) cover one week from Mon to Sunday -- If your trip laps over a weekend, they are not appropriate. If that is the case, there is no pass that is economical. So you get a Navigo Easy and load it with metro tickets for 2.50 each -- if you need more, just add more on machines. Bus tickets are separate and cost 2 euro and can be loaded on the NE as well. The ticket for the airports is 13 Euro and cannot go on a Navigo Easy that has metro tickets on it. It can be loaded on a phone app.

Yes, tourists can purchase the weekly pass, and depending on your usage, that may be the cheapest. parisbytrain.com is a great resource as well for Paris metro info.
