Can I walk to wineries in CdP from the bus station ? Any recommended ? What hours do they generally receive guests for tastings ? Do they close for a long lunch like is often the case in Italian wineries ? Thanks

I don't know where the bus station in CDP is, as when we've gone there we drove, but I assume it's near the center of town. From what I remember there were several wineries in or near the center. We visited Domaine Pierre Usseglio, which is an excellent producer. We visited another, whose name I can't recall, which was not very good. Most wineries that accept visitors will close for a long lunch period. They will usually close at noon, and reopen anywhere from 2:30-3:30.
