I am going to Loire Valley in early April and appreciate any recommendations for the experience in château lodging/life. Any recommendations for the positive authentic experience with some modern conveniences in the room. Appreciate the community’s help.

We stayed in two amazing places. The first is Field La Tortiniere - Chateau Hotel Vallee De La loire,
We had amazing food and a lovely stay. I don't recommend the top floor (less expensive rooms) as there is no lift.
The second wonderful hotel was Hotel Restaurant Le Clos d'Ambroise
This was in Ambroise and was also delightful with an amazing dinner. Our friend's room decor wasn't as nice as ours, so give attention to selecting the room.

I stayed at Chateau de Pray eons ago, long before their restaurant earned a Michelin star. My friend and I, in our early 20s, were quite impressed. Glad to see it's still going strong.
