We are looking for a chateau in the Champagne region for a large group for a weekend. Anyone have any suggestions on where to start looking or any recommendations?

As you probably know, Champagne is not the traditional region for the French chateaux built in the Italian style for the French kings--that would be the Loire Valley.

We stayed 4 nights at this chateau in Fere De Tardenois, which is about a 30 minute drive from Epernay and the surrounding champagne houses. Besides wonderful accommodations, there are ruins of a 14th century castle on the grounds. This chateau is also close to many WW1 cemeteries and battlefields if you are interested in history.
