We are a party of eight who will be in Marseille for about 3 days in August. We are interested in the Chateau d'if and taking a boat tour of the Calanques. Can we do both in one day, or two separate days? Is it better to buy tickets ahead of our trip?

Both tours leave from Vieux Port. Tours of the Calanques - weather and sea permitting - are generally 3-4 hours. Boats run out to the Chateau about hourly throughout the day. If you feel like a great pizza or Italian food, try Chez Vincent, 25 Rue Glandeves - less than 5 minutes from the ticket booths.
