What have been his tour prices recently?

When I Google him, he says he only does private tours now. I think you can buy his book on Amazon.

I bought his book several years ago before I was taking the tour. The book is excellent prep, plus it is worth reading on its own, too.

In 2023 I found info on his tours through the Chartres cathedral site. I contacted them and they connected us with him and he quoted a price. I forget how much it was because we had to cancel our trip. I’d try contacting the cathedral. I think there is another person who is taking on some of the tours.

When I was there in 1981, he was not allowed to charge for his tour. I caught the last half of his morning tour then did the afternoon tour. He asked if anyone had done the morning tour or either tour the day before. Then he adjusted the tour to minimize duplication. Both tpurs were great.

I couldn’t believe that some ‘stiffed’ him and did not tip. 🤬🤬🤬

Hi, I did the tour in 2019. He was gone that week, so it was his back-up person, and she was excellent! I showed up at the cathedral (I asked inside the gift shop), and the English tour was at 2pm, if I remember correctly. I had arrived in Chartres that morning & already spent over an hour in the cathedral before leaving at noon for a quick lunch. The tour was only €10, so I gave her a nice tip.
