We are doing a night in Chartres and would like a hotel with decent size rooms; I found a quaint central hotel, but my husband who doesn't see well is tired of tripping over the bed in tiny French hotel rooms. Anyone have a rec for central Chartres?

If you avoid the entry-level rooms, Le Grand Monarque has decently sized "Luxe" rooms and lavishly sized "Prestige" rooms.

Grand Monarque is a best bet. Le Bœuf Couronné is great, too, but lacks air conditioning. The Mercure is just ok but you know what you're getting.
