Chartres daytrip from Paris - Trains to Chartres affected by strike??

I will be in Paris in January. I was hoping to visit the Chartres cathedral for the day on January 12 or 14. In the event that the Paris strike is still in effect, what is the best train route?

Are all/any trains from Paris to Chartres affected by the strikes?

Will I be able to buy a round trip ticket? And do I need to be concerned about my train back to Paris being cancelled?

OP- to far out to tell but yes trains do get cancelled. It is best to plan your trip with flexibility and time. Have back up plans.
