Looking for centrally located accommodations that you can recommend for Chartres for my husband and myself. Thank you.
You may or may not consider this "centrally located," but we loved our stay at Les ConvivHôtes. Here's a thread that has some information about it, including an excerpt from one of my trip reports. The place is lovely, and in easy walking distance from the Cathedral and market, but it is down by the river, not up on the central plateau. If we're ever in Chartres again, we'll stay here, in spite of the hill.

Thank you for suggestion. I’ll check it out!
The Mercure has an amazing location and is air conditioned with a good breakfast.
Le Bœuf Couronné is nice, great location, but no AC
I appreciate your info. Thanks!
Last April I spent a couple nights in Chartres. I didn't book a hotel, but a small apartment just down the hill from the tourist information office. I did this through Booking.com and it was really nice. Right on the river, not too large but comfortable, and a great base for me to explore. Plus there was parking, which was important for me.
Le Pont Bouju - Vue sur L'Eure
Really nice.
Thanks for sharing. I’ll check it out.
We stayed in an old nunnery very close to the Notre Dame. Can't remember the name.
Hôtellerie St-Yves
WE stayed at an old funky hotel right at the Cathedral called le Parvis. Our room had a sitting room with a view to the side of the Cathedral and a bedroom and bath. quirky and old -- we loved it. The breakfast was good.

And wherever you stay be sure to have dinner at. this place if it is open. Beautiful location on the small river with stunning views. We had a table in the little glass bump out and it was just so beautiful. Great service and food as well.
