I arrive on Air France at CDG from the US on a Saturday morning in peak tourist season in Terminal 2E. I need to get on an Air France flight that day to MRS in Terminal 2F. What is the easiest way to do this? How much time should I allow?
We just did 2F to 2E on Good Friday. The airport says 20-25 minutes. We had 1h 40 and made it, but we hustled. For us it wasn't the lengthy walk that made it dicey, it was the lineup at passport control.
I hope your flights are on one ticket.
Good source of information:
Are you going to be on one ticket or two tickets?
If one ticket, the airline is responsible if you can't make the connection due to delays (they'll put you on the next available flight at no charge, the key word being "available"). They will also transfer any checked luggage from your US origin to Marseille (you will go through passport control in Paris, but will not go through customs until Marseille).
But if you're on separate tickets, YOU are responsible for fixing any problems due to missing the plane. You also have to pick up any checked luggage in Paris and recheck it before boarding your plane to Marseille (as well as going through passport control and security, as you would even on a single ticket).
