Champagne Tours - Paris to Reims and Back

Good morning:

I am planning a trip to Paris with my two adult daughters.

We have to wait to travel until October of 2023. My oldest daughter will be finishing graduate school!

My youngest daughter is a graduate of the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) and works as a pastry cook.

She is keenly interested in visiting a vineyard in France.

We will be staying in Paris - but can certainly take a side trip to a vineyard. A trip that includes round-trip transportation is preferred. I am interested in Reims - she would like to visit a smaller vineyard - of course, we are not fluent in French.

I would love to hear your feedback on your experience.

Many thanks!

I would just take the train myself to and from Paris instead of getting a tour with roundtrip transportation from Paris. From Reims, there are a number of good tour companies that pick you up and return you the train station in Reims. My favorite is Cris Event (cris-event.fr), especially if you want to visit smaller vineyards. If you want a tour with round trip transportation, look at takewalks.com.

Hi ihcal, a day trip to Reims is easy to do on your own but you’ll need to do some research and contact the individual champagne houses regarding availability and hours. If you have time, the Cathedral and Surrender Museum are also worth a visit.

There is a vineyard in Paris that you might want to see. It’s small and not open to the public but interesting as it’s the only one in Paris. It’s next to the iconic La Maison Rose cafe in Montmartre. There is also an annual wine festival in Montmartre in October. Enjoy your trip!

JHK…great recommendation! My sister and I enjoyed a champagne tour with them two years ago. With very much appreciated assistance, they helped us negotiate the mysteries of getting tickets for the “fast train” from Paris to Reims and back again, besides presenting us with a truly terrific tour. As a bonus, the recommendation for a restaurant for lunch was truly outstanding! I highly recommend Cris Event!

hey hey ihcal
we took the train from paris to reims, bought round trip train tickets day before at a sncf store. it was so much easier, there were 4 of us. you can also buy in paris morning of and reims station after tour.
we did a-l-allurechampenoise.fr
click (nos prestations/our offers) to get english version.
met us at church and drove around small town then out to countryside/vineyards/the small villages/private winery back to reims. married couple, she speaks english, in a CV2 car. after we walked down a street with cafes, sat at an outside one and tasted about 5 local ones. the houses of very popular houses was so packed and crowded, waiting, so we decided go to the cafe.
was a great fun day and back to paris
whatever you decide, enjoy
