Champagne Region France -- Champagne Houses WITH Children

Good Evening,

Can anybody tell me any Champagne Houses that allow you to bring children (or if they all do and I'm just overthinking things). I know in Sonoma/Napa some wineries are more family friendly than others.

We will be in Champagne-Ardenne and Reims.

TIA

What are the ages of your children?
Most & Chandon allows children on their cellar tours and you can purchase tickets online. They would need to tour quietly so the group can hear the guide and not touch anything. The lids can blow off the bottles.
Unlike the Napa area, most champagne houses require a tour. You cannot just stop in for a tasting.
I’ve been on multiple tours and have never seen children on any of them.
It’s definitely a fun adult activity but may be boring for children, although touring the caves is an adventure.
Edit to add: Moet is in Epernay.

I took my children then aged 5 and 13 with me to a tour at Taittinger in 2011. They did not touch anything and were quiet. I saw more than one person there with a child. My children loved it because they enjoyed the tour of the caves and the stories about the family history. I knew Taittinger permitted children because there were different ticket prices for children and adults and the children's tickets did not include tastings. BTW, children under 12 are free but you have to reserve a spot for them because the number of spots in each tour is limited. Ruinart also has tickets for children. I can't recall now why we went to Taittinger and not Ruinart.

I would look at the websites for whatever houses you are thinking of visiting; I am sure they have the information.

We took our kids to Taittinger a few years ago, ages 14 and 11. It was an English tour. They didn't need to be especially quiet, the caves are really pretty interesting, and the wine tasting at the end lasts about 10 minutes. There were other kids, it was no big deal at all. The kids liked it, the tour guides loved answering their questions, and if we get back to Reims we'll do it again. I never got the slightest impression that they weren't welcome. On the contrary, they were happy to have us there, kids and all.
