Champagne Day Trip

Any advice on best ways to do a day trip to Champagne wine growing region? Any recs on tours or certain vineyards that can be easily arranged/potentially have transport available from a local train station?

Have no experience with guided tours for vineyards only one of the Champagne houses, maybe there are organized tours from Paris, Reims or Épernay.

In Épernay Moët&Chandon is a ten minute walk from the railway station. From the outside it looks more like a factory but nevertheless fro me the tour was enjoyable and interesting. Train to Épernay takes less than 1½h from Gare de l’Est in Paris, presuming you do the daytrip from there.

I think spending a day on the Avenue de Champagne is a day well spent. You can book times for tours in the bigger houses like Moet & Chandon and it's well worth it. There are some awesome smaller house to visit ... my personal fav being Boizel. The TI at the beginning of the streets is wonderful with a very knowledgeable staff.
