Chamonix to Geneva train station; on the way to Nimes

Hi all. In early September we will be ending a RS tour in Chamonix. We are then going to visit family in the south of France near Nimes. Our current plan is to catch a train in Geneva.

Our tour info suggested booking ouibus or Mountain Drops offs. Has anyone used ouibus? It looks like I would book with them for Chamonix Sud (we are staying at Plan B Hotel) to Geneva Square of Cornavin.

It also appears we could take a bus from Chamonix to Lyon, and then train from Lyon. But bus ride is early, 6am, and takes close to 4 hours. It seems like going to Geneva would be better.

Any thoughts or advice? Should I book now or wait?

Thank you;

Ouibus is now known as Blablabus, and it is reliable!
Just don't plan for a too tight connection in Geneva, as there can be traffic.
It is also doable by train all the way from Chamonix, but there seems to be some engineering works this summer as I cannot find any good connection.

AlpyBus is another option for transfers between the Alps and Geneva. They're entirely English speaking.
