Chamonix restaurants

Any recommendations for restaurants in Chamonix? Willing to splurge a little as I'll be celebrating my birthday there.

Thanks!

It was a few years ago but we had a nice group dinner (RS tour) at La Caleche. 18 Rue du Dr Paccard.

Fondue, raclette, charcuterie plate. Some local red wine. Great dinner.. if you do the fondue, make sure to pace yourself. The cheese and wine at the bottom of the fondue pot caramelizes over time and takes on a different flavor.

Have a great birthday dinner!!!

Hi Diana, another vote for La Caleche. We were there in Sep 2016 with a RS Switzerland tour. Same meal as Rocket mentioned - fondue, raclette, charcuterie plate, and some very good wine. Great evening. Loved Chamonix. Hope you enjoy it.

This place had some pretty good reviews on Yelp, with pics, too. Not all Americans reviewing, a couple of international.

I was in Chamonix in Oct. 2016 on a RS tour. Our group had dinner at Le Manchu. Our meal was good and very similar to what previous posters wrote about La Caleche.

It gets very hot in the restaurants with all the fondue pots and tabletop grills heated up - dress accordingly, it's not a sweater place.

Chamonix is one of my favorite places.
