We will be in Chamonix on the Rick Steves Alps My Way tour in July. We are staying on 3 more days after the tour ends. Anyone have suggestions for restaurants that were good without costing an arm and a leg? Our hotel is the Plan B near city center. Thanks!

Hi, We are also doing the Alpine tour and staying at Plan B hotel.. Do you think that is the actual name of hotel. Our tour starts August 22..we are thinking of adding days at the end too. What kind of thinks do you have planned afterwards?

At the top of the Brevant ski lift there is an open air restaurant. The food is not great but the view is amazing

Yes, Plan B is the real deal. I booked our extra nights on their website. We intend to try and relax and go with the flow our last few days in Chamonix. We just completed a fairly grueling Best of Italy tour with Insight Vacations and while we loved every minute, we were exhausted when we got home. Thanks for the tips. I’ll definitely put them on my list!😊

We will be in Chamonix in July on a RS My Way Alpine tour too. And we have extended our stay at Plan B by 4 days.
I don’t have restaurant suggestions, but I have purchased Walking Chamonix Mont Blanc by Andrew McCluggage. It’s excellent.

Had a great dinner at Atmosphere in 2018, which is right alongside the river that flows through Chamonix. The price was fair for the quality and service.

I stayed at Plan B last fall. I had pizza from The Dainty and I really enjoyed it - they have some super creative pizzas and more basic options https://www.thedaintypizza-order.com/menu?locale=fr-FR
Also the focaccia sandwich I had at La Fabrica in the square was SO GOOD!
