Has anyone stayed in a refuge-hotel in Chamonix? We plan on spending 4 nights in Chamonix, but thought it would be fun to try a refuge for 1 or 2 nights. Suggestions?

I highly recommend the Refuge du Lac Blanc...it's not difficult to get to and has some of the best views I've ever seen in the French Alps. Sit on the deck, have a beer, and be awed! If you want to spend the night you must make a reservation...it's a very popular hut.
