Chamonix - Paris Train

Hi,
In late August we plan on traveling from Chamonix to Paris by train. We will use all France trains and will not be going through Geneva. It appears there will be 2 TER trains and 1 TGV. I saw in another post that the summer TGV trains will go on sale March 13.

Question:

On March 13, would all 3 trains (2 TER and 1 TGV) go on sale? Or just the TGV?

I ask because we want to get the lowest price for the TGV train...so I am wondering if I can buy the full route via Trainline...or should I just buy the TGV portion and wait for the TER trains when they go on sale?

if you don't see the TER leg available on March 13 just buy the TGV portion since TER trains don't require seat reservations and are fixed price.

Buy it as a through ticket from Chamonix to Paris, All it means is that you have no assigned seating on the first two trains.
