Chamonix Mont blanc from Paris then to Nice

Hello all!
I used this forum in the past for some tips on Italy and they were very helpful.

My husband and I will be traveling to France this summer for 10 days to celebrate our 20th anniversary. 20 years ago we did Paris and Nice for our honeymoon and this time we will retrace our steps a little but also want to experience some other areas of France.
Our hope is to stay 1 or 2 nights in Chamonix but it looks like travel from Paris and then to Nice might prove difficult.

Anyone do this?
I did look at staying in Geneva but I don't really have much interest in it. I did see if we fly from Geneva we can get to Nice quickly that way.

If you’ve not booked your flights yet, you may consider flying to Geneva, taking a shuttle to Chamonix, then taking the train(s) to Nice.
Since you’ll be in the area, you may like to stay in Annecy for a couple of nights before heading to Nice, then ending you trip in Paris.

Happy upcoming anniversary!

If you do go to Chamonix, I would consider training it from Paris to Geneva (Geneva is more or less
the gateway to Chamonix). It's a 3 hour train and a lot less hassle than making your way to an airport.

Your options in Chamonix are to go back to Geneva or take the bus through the tunnel to Aosta, then
most likely to Turin and then on to Nice.

Chamonix will be very busy in the summer, and I'd definitely try to stay for more than 1 night.

Thanks for your replies.
I have a flight booked to start in Paris then home from Nice.
I hadn't considered going to Turin and that seems to shorten the ride to Nice. Interesting! I extended Paris a day with our airbnb but considering shortening it back to 3 full days and heading to Chamonix sooner. Decisions decisions.
