Chamonix Hotels

I stayed at Hôtel de l’Arve, mentioned above, on a Rick Steves tour, and liked it a lot. The breakfast buffet was above average though I don't know if covid has changed it.

We stayed in one of the apartments operated by Hotel L'Arve and it was very well equipped, perfect location, and a great value.

That you so much for your suggestions. This will definitely help me decide.

First visit we stayed at Hotel de l’Arve and didn’t like it (2005 so it may have improved since then). Second visit we stayed at Hotel Morgan and loved it.

Hotel Vallée Blanche (https://www.vallee-blanche.com/en/hotel.html) is a lot of fun. Rooms right on the river (and I mean RIGHT on the river, like 3 feet from your window). In the heart of the town, next to the main bridge. Fun pub downstairs.

We stayed at Le Castel and LOVED it! Large room, large balcony, large bathroom, great breakfast and also has a restaurant. It's on the shuttle bus line so the slightly out-of-the-center location was very convenient.
