Chamonix early June

Planning on being in Chamonix around June 7-11. Traveling with 3 children (ages 2, 7, 11). Based on my initial research a lot of the activities/transport is either closed or they have not announced their summer opening dates. Anyone thats been in the past/or from there - do you know if my potential dates are a bad time to be there? Will we have anything to do? I wanted to do Mer de Glace, take the Mont Blanc tramway to Nid d'Aigle, Parc de Merlet & maybe a day trip to Annecy. Open to other things we can do with kids our age - easy hikes (ideally stroller friendly if thats a thing!), or anything really that I might've missed above. Thank you

We were there toward the end of June and everything was open. That being said - the day we were there, a storm with winds was coming in. While the lift was running, there was the possibility of it shutting down and us getting stuck at the top. So we kept our feet firmly in the lovely town! Will you have a backpack for the 2 year old? The town will be easy with a stroller, not sure about the trams or trails. Annecy would be a good option. Very stroller friendly town, water activities, paddle boats, biking around the lake. I think a combination of both towns would give you plenty of activities for several days with your young family!

I second Annecy, paved biking path for most of area around the lake and big park on the lake right from the old town center, stroller here should be a breeze. In Chamonix: we took cable cars for two hikes: we had to take a bus from town to base of cable cars but these would not be stroller friendly, at least not the hikes, but you could take the cable cars up just to see the views which are extraordinary. The hikes were Balcony Sud and Glacier Argentiere. Stroller would fit on the cars. We did not do Mere de Glace, I believe there are a lot of stairs to get to the toe of the glacier as the glacier has receded, but i imagine the cog train would be stroller friendly. Town of Chamonix itself is stroller friendly and I believe there is a paved bike path from Chamonix all the way to Les Houches and this was a beautiful stretch as well. Aiguille du Midi and Helbronner were an absolute highlight of our trip, stoller would be challenging once out of the cable cars due to the many stairs, but maybe there is elevator access that I was not aware of, maybe research this as the 30 min Helbronner cable car ride to italy was once in a lifetime views over massive glacier fields. If you opt to do this, make sure you research getting your tickets ahead of time, summer is very packed and we almost missed being able to get our ticket. I loved Chamonix so much I am now planning a Tour Mont Blanc multi day hike for this summer.
