Hello,
There are some posts here but again I wanted to get your comments as I am a bit confused . I am planning a solo trip to the area for 4-5 days within this month. I will arrive in Geneva Airport. I enjoy spending time in nature, strolling around beautiful villages ,small towns, waterfalls, rivers , beautiful cafes.. and doing easy to moderate hikes. I have visited several Alpine destinations before, and since the Chamonix area is easily accessible from Geneva Airport, I am considering it for this trip.
However, I am not sure where and how much I should stay. Where should I start annecy or chamonix ? Would you recommend spending 1.5 days (or 1 day) in Annecy and 2-3 days in Chamonix? Or is there another town or village that might suit me better?
I will not have a car, so good public transport is important. I have also read about places such as Les Praz, Les Houches, Le Tour, Vallorcine ..but I am unsure whether they are worth visiting with only 4-5 days available. Should I stay in Chamonix center and trips to the other close villages or stay in one of them? on weekend , Is annecy or chamonix still crowded ?
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for reading this post ..
