Looking for a nice hotel in Chamonix or surrounding area, Also looking for a private hiking guide. Suggestions??

Several years ago we stayed at Hotel de l'arve and were quite pleased. Right in the heart of everything so getting about isn't a problem. Reasonable cost and very good breakfast.

For hiking guides check out Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix. https://www.chamonix-guides.com . These guys are the real deal alpine guides, right in the heart of Chamonix.

Another vote for Hotel L’Arve’.
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay there back in 2016. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel but enjoyed some wonderful pastries & quiches at a bakery in town.
Beware of altitude sickness if you’re planning to go up to the Aiguille du Midi.
