Do breakfasts in French B&Bs generally tend to be full, cooked meals - eggs, meat, cereal, toast, jams, coffee, tea, etc. - as is the case with Irish B&Bs or are they the light, continental type only? Or, does it vary from one facility to another?
In France, places that were specifically referred to as B&Bs, we've generally had "largish" meals, with pastries, breads, fruits, jams, cheeses, meats, yogurt, sometimes eggs. I cannot recall one that was just pastries and coffee. i usually book directly with my inns/B&Bs and if not noted or pictured on their website, that would be something I'd ask in an email.
Eggs-a-lent! Thanks, Jules.
It depends, many serve a “French “ breakfast which is coffee, tea, juice, fruit, yogurt and breads. Fancier places may have eggs and meats and or cheeses.
Our experience has leaned heavily towards the "French" breakfast.
D'accord!
