HI,
I have always wanted to see the fireworks on July 14th at the Eiffel Tower. This year is it. What is the best way to get a good spot and view.?I have heard one can do a dinner river cruise or hang out on a near-by bridge. And what is it like when leaving afterwards? We will be in a hotel in the 5th, so a long way to get home. Thanks for any suggestions or experiences you can share.

The huge park in front of the ET, called the Champs de Mars, is a great location. For a good spot, get there 3+ hrs early with a blanket and a picnic dinner. It’s a lot of fun! It’s a festive, friendly atmosphere.
As soon as the fireworks end, high-tail it to the nearest mêtro stop to get to the 5th. The mêtro will be very crowded, as you can imagine.
