CDG - Transportation to Left Bank (and meeting at airport)

We will be traveling to CDG in April. My friend will come into Terminal 1 and I will arrive at 2E. Flights arrive within 45 minutes of each other so we are planning to meet up to travel into the city center. Is there a good place that you can suggest we meet? Calling each other will not be possible.

Also, debating on whether to take the RER or to grab a taxi. Our hotel is only a block from the St. Michel stop for the RER. Just thinking of safety as we will have luggage (and having just arrived may be a bit jet lagged and disorganized) on the train. We will transfer to a new hotel via RER later in the week but I'm not worried about that as we will have been there and be more alert.

Since the taxi rates are now fixed and there will be two of you to share the cost, just get a cab at the official taxi queue. Much more convenient and not that much more cost. Sorry I can't help with a good meeting place, but am certain others can advise.

There are dedicated, well signed Meeting Points at each terminal. Whoever is due to arrive first can go to the meeting point at the other's scheduled terminal. You can find the info here:. https://easycdg.com/passenger-information/arrivals-cdg-airport/

The RER is so easy, I would avoid a taxi completely and take the RER.

I am a disabled traveler with back problems and much prefer the RER to sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. You’ll be at your hotel much more quickly plus you and your friend will still pay much less on the RER than sharing a taxi. Talk about win/win!
