CDG to the Marais on 10/4/17

What is our best option for getting from the airport to the Marais? I am traveling with my wife. We have 2 carry-on bags and 1 checked bag. I have a quote from a limo driver of 130 euros which seems high to us.

We are coming in on a redeye flight so we will be a little out of it so we are willing to pay a little extra if justified. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Taxi from the official taxi rank is a fixed price 50 EUR, so yes, 130 EUR is a little steep.

Paris has excellent public transport and well regulated taxis. You can take the train for 20.60 for the two of you which may require a transfer to the metro depending on where in the Marais you are staying and will require carrying baggage up and down stairs during such transfers. If you choose that then be sure you are pickpocket proof i.e. no valuables in pockets, backpacks or carelessly held small bags.

A taxi is only 50 Euro and this would be my choice door to door after an overnight flight. Use only the official queue and wait your turn. Anyone who asks you if you need a taxi is a scammer who will cheat you. Taxi drivers never get out of their cabs to hustle patrons.

The official taxi ride given the distance and traffic is a bargain and the way to go to anywhere downtown.
Also the best option to get back to the airport for your flight home.

There is an easy to find taxi stand line at the airport all hours, as mentioned don't let anyone approach you asking if you need a ride or taxi, go to the official taxi stand at the airport.

Flat rates have been in effect for about a year, now.
50 EU will get you to your address, if there are 2 of you.
If there are more than 4, you will pay 4 EU for additional passengers in addition to the metered fare.
There is no fee for luggage in the trunk.

Just follow the overhead signs to the regular TAXI stand and wait in line. That works fine for most people.
I wouldn't want to chance taking the RER or RoissyBus if you are seriously jet-lagged.

Thank you all for the replies! We will go ahead and take a taxi from the official taxi stand. Thanks again :)

Write your hotel name, address and postal code on a piece of paper to hand to the driver. That way there is no miscommunication or mispronunciation. It wouldn't hurt to write €50 either.
