CDG to Nice questions

We booked a flight to Paris from the United States and we have decided to travel to Nice. Our initial thought was to take a train to Nice (and we may still do that), but since we are only there for a week, I'm wondering about reducing our travel time and flying to Nice and returning to Paris via train. So, my questions are: Knowing we will have to make time to go through customs, can we reasonably make a flight in 90 minutes? I did a little research and it looks like we would need to travel from Terminal 2E to Terminal 2B. Do we have to completely exit the airport and go back through security again to check in for our flight to Nice - even without checked luggage? We arrive at 1:25 p.m. and the connecting flight I'm looking to book leaves at 2:50 p.m. Thanks in advance for any insights!

Having made that connection, on a single ticket in 2021, I'd say no, 90 minutes isn't enough.

You will need to do security again.

You will need to go through both passport control and security as you enter terminal 2B. If you can add the Nice leg onto your current ticket, you would be protected and put onto the next available flight. I've made 90 minute connections to both Nice and Montpellier but each time I had a direct flight that landed early or on time, was in the front of the plane, and have an European biometric passport.
Each is a factor. You might make it if everything lines up correctly. To be safe, you should allow 4 hours between flights.

Flying on separate tickets, I would not attempt 90 minutes. More like double that, if you can. You would still save time vs the train.

Not at all in 90 minutes.

On separate tickets, i would allow at least four hours (and then know that if your incoming flight is late, you will have to buy new tickets to Nice).

When I came in in April from the US, it was 2 hours from landing to cab -- we spent 90 minutes in the immigration line -- this was our worst experience yet, but it happens and it especially happens when workers are pissed off about the government.

If you can add the nice leg to your ticket and have your luggage transferred then you could do an airside transfer and 90 minutes might be enough. Absolutely not on two tickets.

Thanks for the insights! I will not be booking the 2:50 flight out to Nice. Again - thank you for the honest, insightful responses.
