I was counting on the Bus Direct and read on this forum that it is no longer in business. What is the best means of travel between CDG and Gare de Lyon? I will have a rolling, carryon suitcase and a small backpack. I am a slight woman, not young and have back problems. Would taking the metro involve lots of steps? Or are there escalators? I can't carry my suitcase, but have to pull it up and down the steps. It's been 45 yrs since I used the Metro system. Any suggestions?
Take a taxi for 53€. That's my suggestion based on details of your post. If you really want to take mass transit, I think you can avoid stairs if you take the RER B from the airport to Chatelet-les-Halles and transfer there for the RER A to Gare de Lyon. If I recall corretly and I hope that someone will correct me if I am wrong, the trains are across the platform from each other. Make sure that you are pickpocket proof before getting on the train and keep your ticket until you leave the system.
Thank you for that information. The taxi sounds good.
