I want to take the 11:19 a.m. train from CDG to Blois station on Sept. 13. The websites show it running now and for the next few days, but not in Sept. Does that mean the train won't be running then, or just that it won't be confirmed for that time until later?
Thanks for any help, I am so frustrated!
Anna
Are you flying in on that day ?
Are you sure about CDG to Blois?
CDG is served by the TGV and RER. Blois is served by neither. The trains you are looking at is a TGV to Saint Pierre des Corps, then a change to a local train back to Blois. That's an expensive and slow way of doing the trip. Look for a train from Paris Austerlitz to Blois (it's direct) then either catch a taxi or the RER and metro to Austerlitz
Part of the reason you can't see the trains you're looking for is that the train tickets probably haven't been released yet. The TGV timetable may well not be released until a month beforehand.
There is a train from CDG to Saint Pierre des Corps at 12:16 September 13. From Saint Pierre des Corps you can easily get a TER regional train to Blois. Regional trains are frequent do not sell out and don't require a reservation.
Also again if you are flying in and hoping to catch the train the same day beware of buying tickets too far in advance as it could happen between now and September that your flight schedule might change.
Thanks to both of you. Yes, we are flying in on that day, but I thought we had to have train reservations. I've had trouble distinguishing the different kinds of trains. Will start over and not reserve, just plan.
Thank you, thank you!
