CDG to Bayeux August train/private transfer 4 adults

Arriving at CDG early August on a Sat about 930AM from US.

Understand train will be cheapest option, but can we buy tickets once we're at the train station? If we need to buy in advance, how much time should we allow from landing at CDG before train departure (understand train station would be St. Lazarre?

Any recommendations for private transfer companies?

A taxi at a fixed rate from CDG to the train station is your best bet. A private transfer company can't use the bus lanes as an official taxi can, so the taxi should be faster. The taxi fixed rate covers 4 persons and luggage.

If you are referring to a private transfer all the way to Bayeux from CDG, I have no recommendations. The cost would be way too high for me. It is 285 km distance, and the driver would have to return empty to Paris, so the charge would be substantial, even split four ways. And it would probably not be as fast as the train journey.

Allow four hours between ETA for your flight and the train’s departure time.

You can buy tkts on line or at the train station. Try googling “ private transfer CDG to Bayeux” for general info. Seems there’s plenty of apps that accomplish what you’re looking for.

I found quotes from 128 to 872 Euro for private transfer. Had some relatives with the means to have private arrangements for most of a trip to Normandie so it’s something that OP could arrange. Not something I would choose when train service is pretty good to Normandie. One link that stood out was theeuroroadtrip.eu .

Daytrip.com provides excellent private transfers if that's the method you choose to use for door to door service. It appears the cost would be around $600.
