CDG to 7th Arrondisment-taxi or Roissy bus-suggestions

A taxi from the airport is a fixed price (55-60€) for up to 4 people, if you use the official taxis. So the number of people makes a difference. How many are in your group?

The bus is 16€ each. Plus taxi/metro from the station. Another option is the RER from the airport. It’s cheaper than the bus, but you have to deal with your luggage.

IMO, a taxi is really worth it to not have the stress of dealing with luggage, making transfers, being pickpocket proof while jet lagged.

Just take a taxi, the least stressful gift you can make to yourself when you are jet lagged and frankly vulnerable to pickpockets and thieves. Taking the bus, then switching to a second form of transport (taxi or metro) is just not worth it.

Also, the Opera Metro is one of the larger stations with multiple lines, pretty confusing and busy down there, again not something I would want to deal with in the jet lagged state, particularly with bags in tow.

The CDG taxi will deliver you to the front door of your hotel. So simple...

Yes, taxis take credit card. The cost is fixed: 62€. No tip is expected.

I have never had the problem because I always pay with euros, but some suggest asking or showing your credit card to the driver to confirm he can take that form of payment. ff he does not, take another taxi.

I always arrive in Europe with some euros. You can grab some inside the airport at an ATM before exiting if you have none...I actually buy some from my bank before leaving home, just enough to cover a taxi if needed, plus maybe a few more.

I also recommend having the name and address of your hotel written on an index card to show the driver...include the "zip code" which will pinpoint the arrondissement...since you are going to a hotel on the left bank (the 7th), know that you flat fixed fare is the higher one (62 euros). I have exact change, or at worse hand the driver 65 euros and say "keep the change"...

Because I usually travel alone and stay in the 8th, I usually use the RoissyBus. But if you have several people or a lot of luggage, taxi is certainly simpler, and brings you door to door.

Show them the CC when you get in the cab and don't take that cab if they don't okay it.

It is 62 Euro to the 7th, door to door - no muss no fuss -- the way to go. The bus plus taxi is the worst of both worlds -- doesnt save much money and is a hassle. If you want to save money take the train for 11.25. each.
